Cleaning house and puppy sitting is not coming together. Especially with a puppy with a broken leg.

December already??!!

I cannot believe it is December already. So I have a new layout for the holidays and two Christmas presents purchased and am already starting to feel the pressure. We are planning on doing some decorating today and I have started making some gifts.

It doesn't feel like winter is coming, the weather here is still so warm. A cold day has been 70 degrees. I am so looking for some cool weather.

Where Have I Been?

Okay, the wedding is over! It was really fantastic, everything, or almost everything came together perfectly. Amanda and Justin came over the next morning to open presents and Amanda said, wasn't that just the best wedding ever? What a great thing to hear.

Amanda, Jen and Alix stayed at the hotel the night before and had the hair stylist and make up person come to them there. I did my own hair, but I did go to the mall to have my make up done at the Bare Ecssentials counter. Then Bob and I took Madison and headed out for the hotel. Of course there was a traffic accident!! Amanda called, but she was not stressed out and we also had to tell her Terina, our photograher was even behind us. She was still calm.

We got to the hotel, which was quite crowded since we had one bride, two bridesmaids, one flower girl, two make up girls, one hair girl, one videographer, one mother of the bride and one mother of the groom. Add to that Terina and her assistant Elaine and WOW!!!!!

Make up and hair are done, it is now time to don the dresses. Jen's dress won't zip!! Not a weight issue, a zipper problem. Now time if flying way too fast. Jen is laying on the floor with Elaine and the videographer trying their hardest to pull that zipper up. We are officially late now and the back of Jen's dress is still wide open. KIM, Justin's mom to the rescue. In her purse of wonders she had a needle and one strand of black thread! Elaine sewed her in to the very end of that piece of thread and luckily the bow on the back covered the stitching. We were good to go!

We got to Green River and of course they were waiting for us. We got it together quickly and headed out to the wedding site. Parents, grandparents and bridal party came down the aisle and just then a train came through. It was great that it was pretty short and was finished passing before Amanda and Bob got all the way to the front. The pastor was wonderful, I loved his talk/sermon.

Back up the aisle and the rest of the night was wonderful too. We had great comments and were so happy to hear people enjoyed themselves too.

Fun but expensive weekend!

Saturday and Sunday I worked in a booth with two other Close to My Heart consultants at the Riverside Rubber Stamp and Scrap Show. I had a great time in the booth, helping people make a two page layout using our Silhouette line. That was the fun part........................
Next up the expensive part. But first off, I worked in the booth for products. $120 worth of Close to My Heart products! Yippeee. But I also shopped and shopped and then shopped a bit more! I stopped by a booth and learned some really neat tricks to do with glitter. So I bought some. I stopped by another booth and Ilearned some fun tricks using some punches and making a border. So I bought some. I then went to a booth that had a Cricut Cartridge I had wanted and since it was such a low price, I bought it. I also found a package with 3 large decorative scissors. The girl told me that if I bought another item out of the box, I would get the 3rd free. OOOOOHH, another bargain. So I bought two of the scissors sets and got a third set free. I have friends to share with! Then I went to a booth that had a VERY LARGE sign advertising 40% off of everything!! WOOOOHOOOO!! I hit the jackpot. It was a Sizzix booth. For a total of $260. I got a pretty black and pink big shot, a large black suede rolling tote, the 13" extender platform and cutting pad. There is also 2 texture plate sets, a crease pad, two big dies, one 13" die and a set of alphabet. How fun.
Now I have to get ready to go up to Big Bear on Tuesday for 3 days of cropping. What do I want to pack to work on. Will I get anything done this time? Should I bring my new toys to show off?

Played today

No I still haven't scrapped on my own, but I did take a wonderful class with Terina Matthews one of my very favorite teachers on Tuesday. A wonderful acrylic book. Then on Wednesday I did two Disney pages with a teacher at the LSS, with out the pictures! I just haven't found the right ones yet.
Basically I played for two hours this morning finding a new background and learning how to add some fun things along with music to my blog.
Tonight I am going to a crop night so hopefully I will finally have something to share.

Wedding Shopping

Days are getting busy even though we have over three and a half months before the wedding. Today Madison and I went to pick up Amanda and her future mother-in-law, Kim to do some wedding errands. First we had to stop at Green River to make a payment. At this point we have put down $8400. That is not even half yet....... Amanda also wanted to walk down the path with heels to see how much the grass. Of course she didn't think if was that bad, probably because she has already bought the 4" heels and loves them.
Next stop, the feather shop! We needed to purchase ostrich feathers for the center piece. Kim paid for those, $154 for feathers!!!!!!!!!!
Then it was off to the scrap store that Kim's sister works at. I was thinking of some ideas for the shower invitations, but alas I did not find anything for the shower. I did however find some
things for me to play with!
Of course by then it was way past lunch, so Amanda with her champagne taste decides we should go to sushi. Extremely yummy, but I felt since Kim payed for the feathers, I should pay for lunch. It was close but I made out slightly better.
From here we went to the shop Amanda bought the bridesmaids necklaces. They no longer carry the one she bought for the bridesmaids, so she found something that looked some what close, yet a little nicer for her maid of honor. "Oh look, I don't have any money, can you pay for it?" So ends my busy and expensive day.

First thoughts

The next three and a half months are going to be very busy for me. My youngest daughter, Amanda is getting married the end of October. I have been working on some engagement picture LO's to put in a book for her and Justin. I will post those soon.
My husband, Madison and I just went to the beach in Dana Point, CA. for a week. I brought a ton of scrapping supplies and really only finished one two page LO and almost finish a second. Too many other thins to do even though I am not a "beach" person. We went to Disneyland and I forgot my camera!!!!! Even though we have anual passes and I have taken tons and tons of pictures, I still see something new every time we go.
