I took a class Monday night and made 4 cards. I will post them shortly. I had a good time and decided to take a few more classes. A card Friday morning, a layout at the end of the month and an altered book on the 24th. The card class may be something I want to do every month, they were really beautiful. My girlfried Elaine and I have been trying to work once a month making diecuts for Now and Then Scrapbooks to sell. It helps us with spending money at the store! I am also trying to teach myself the SCAL (Sure Cuts A Lot) enabling me to cut any True Fonts. We need to start working on our Journals and notebooks before Christmas.

We had a fabulous vacation! The weather turned out great and we really enjoyed the cruise and all of our excursions. The food was great and I am so excited to say I only gained one pound on the whole trip. I actually took two scrapbooking classes on the sea days. Not quite the embellishments I would like, but fun anyway.
I took a ton of picutres and can't wait to start to play with them. I am planning on doing a book with just the Buchurt Gardens because we took so many pictures there.

Vacation

There are just two days left until our very much needed vacation. Weather.com says it should be raining for the next 10 days straight in Alaska. Sounds like a lot of gray pictures..... I am still excited though and I plan on making the most of it. New places to see and new people to meet.

Saturday the 15th we went to a picnic/party to celebrate Dorothy Miller's 90th birthday party. It was a wonderful day. I have known Dorothy for over 30 years and my children grew up calling her Grandma. We saw so many people we hadn't seen in years. How we all have changed. We really had a great time. Madison got to do some arts and crafts, we ate Mexican food and talked and laughed.
Oh, and there are only 10 more days til we leave for Seattle and the one more day until we board the Infinity to Alaska!

The year is flying by, I can't believe it is August already. I just made it through another birthday and in 13 days Bob and I are headed for Alaska on a 7 day cruise!
My girlfriend Elaine and I have been playing with our Cricuts lately. Making die cuts for the scrap book store. I have also started decorating notebook to sell. I need to put some time into it in order to make enough different samples.
Elaine and I went to see Julie/Julia yesterday. A fun movie. Made me wonder if I could ever possibly keep up with my blog daily. I would be impressed with weekly!

On April 22nd Madison was in her first grade play Bugz. The play was wonderful and they kids were all having a great time. Before heading to the school, Madison told me she had been wondering whether someone might buy her flowers for being in the play. So I had to make a side trip to buy flowers while she was getting ready with Jen. She so deserved the flowers!

Happy New Year

Well a New Year has started. I made it through the holidays, just need to get myself in gear and finish putting away the decorations. I can come up with any excuse to do anything but! On my kitchen table is the start of my scrapbooking year. I am also supposed to be working on layouts for my group Close to my Heart first quarter paper collections. That adds up to 10 pages of layout and 15 cards. When are they due you ask? Thursday morning.........arrrrgggg.
I've decided to start a scrap journal to really keep track of what I have accomplished, what I have and shouldn't buy again and why I really want to do. Now, where is that journal?
